When you visit this website, your browser automatically sends information to Hostinger’s server. This includes:

• IP address (truncated)
• Date and time of access
• Browser type and version
• Operating system
• Referrer URL
• URL accessed

Purpose: Provision and security of the website.

Legal basis: Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR (legitimate interest).

Retention period: 7 days.

3. Enquiry Form (Coaching Application Form)

When you submit an enquiry through this website, I collect: first name, surname, email address, age group, preferred language, time zone, the category of your concern, how long it has been present, and what you hope to achieve.

Selecting a category of concern may allow inferences about your health and is therefore treated as a special category of personal data under Article 9 GDPR. The questions are kept deliberately brief, and I ask you not to include medical details or diagnoses. Anything further is discussed in our initial conversation and never recorded through this website.

No storage on this website. Your entries are not saved in this website’s database. They are transmitted directly to me by email and exist only in my mailbox.

Purpose: assessing your enquiry, contacting you and arranging an initial conversation.

Legal basis: Article 6(1)(b) GDPR for your contact details; Article 9(2)(a) GDPR — your explicit consent — for the category of your concern. You may withdraw that consent at any time with effect for the future by emailing contact[at]unblockedmind.com.

Providing this information is voluntary, but without it I cannot assess whether coaching is suitable for you.

Retention: your enquiry email is deleted six months after our last contact if no coaching arrangement follows. You may request earlier deletion at any time.

4. Online coaching sessions

Coaching sessions take place online via video conferencing tools.

The following data is processed:

• Name
• Email address
• IP address
• Audio and video data (during the session; not recorded)

Purpose: To conduct the coaching session.

Legal basis: Article 6(1)(b) of the GDPR (performance of a contract).

Sessions are not recorded unless this is expressly agreed.

5. Data processed during coaching

If we work together, I process further information that arises from our conversations. This regularly includes information about your wellbeing and therefore constitutes a special category of personal data under Article 9 GDPR.

Session notes: I keep brief written notes to prepare and follow up on our sessions. They are stored locally on an encrypted device, are not accessible to anyone else and are not stored on this website.

Video sessions: sessions take place via Zoom. Sessions are not recorded. If you request an audio recording, this is agreed with you separately and in advance.

Legal basis: Article 6(1)(b) GDPR for the coaching arrangement itself; Article 9(2)(a) GDPR — your explicit consent — for information relating to your wellbeing. You may withdraw this consent at any time with effect for the future.

Confidentiality: everything you tell me stays between us. I do not pass anything to third parties, and I do not use your material as case examples, not even anonymised, without your express agreement.

Retention: notes are deleted six months after our work ends, or earlier at your request.

6. Recipients and processors

• Hostinger — hosting of this website and of my email domain. A data processing agreement is in place; servers are located in [country].
• Zoom — video calls during coaching sessions. Used only if we work together, not for the website.
• PayPal — used only for the appointment deposit, and only if a paid arrangement follows. PayPal is not integrated into this website; payment requests are sent by email, so no data is transmitted to PayPal by visiting these pages.

No data is passed to any other third party. No data is used for advertising, and no automated decision-making takes place.

International transfers

I am based in Costa Rica. When you submit an enquiry or when we work together, your data is transferred to me there for processing. Costa Rica has not been granted an adequacy decision by the European Commission.

The transfer is necessary to assess your enquiry and, where applicable, to provide coaching services to you. The legal basis is Article 49(1)(b) GDPR (transfer necessary for the performance of a contract). Your data is stored on my personal devices, which are encrypted, and is not shared with any other party in Costa Rica.

The server hosting this website is located in the United Kingdom, for which the European Commission has issued an adequacy decision. Backups are stored in Germany. Both locations are subject to European data protection law.

7. Email communication

If you contact me by email, your details will be stored for the purpose of processing your enquiry.

Legal basis: Article 6(1)(b) of the GDPR (pre-contractual measures) or Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR (legitimate interests).

Retention period: 6 months after the end of the correspondence.

You have the following rights:

9. Right to lodge a complaint

You have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. The competent authority is that at your place of residence or at the place where the alleged infringement took place.

10. Cookies

This website uses cookies. Cookies are small text files stored on your device that allow your browser to be recognised.

We use only technically necessary cookies. There is no tracking, no analytics, no advertising and no profiling of any kind, and no data is passed to third parties for such purposes.

What we use:

• Session cookie – required for the website to function correctly. Deleted as soon as you close your browser.
• pll_language – stores which language you have selected, so the site is displayed in that language. Retention: up to 12 months.
• Cookie notice confirmation – records that you have seen this notice, so it is not shown again on every visit. Retention: up to 12 months.
• Enquiry form (temporary storage) – our enquiry form runs across three steps. To prevent your entries from being lost as you move between steps, they are held temporarily in your browser. This information does not leave your device until you submit the form, and is discarded once you do so or close your browser.

These cookies are necessary for the website to work as intended and therefore cannot be switched off. No consent is required for them under Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR and § 25(2) TDDDG.

Fonts: all fonts used on this site are hosted on our own server. No connection is made to Google servers or any other external provider when you load a page.

11. Validity

This privacy policy is currently in force. Changes to the website or legal requirements may necessitate amendments.
